As North Sound families struggle with some of the highest costs of living in the country, Shavers has backed policies that increase food and grocery prices, home energy prices, healthcare costs, taxes, fees, and expand government regulations, making everything more expensive.
Shavers voted to:
- Increase property taxes on homeowners
- Create a new tax on sporting events
- Increase driver’s license fees
- Raise taxes on local hospitals
- Authorize new taxes on restaurants, retailers and recreational activities
- Advance a new state income tax
North Sound families are paying more because Clyde Shavers keeps voting for more.
North Sound families deserve better.
Instead of focusing on affordability and public safety, Clyde Shavers supported policies that put the government ahead of working families.
Shavers voted to:
- Raid law enforcement and firefighter pensions to pay for state budget overruns
- Require cities to permit homeless shelters and drug treatment clinics in residential neighborhoods
- Ban new natural gas hookups and increase electricity rates
- Limit how much his own state health insurance reimburses doctors, driving up costs for everyone else
- Enact costly new requirements for food packaging
Say no to more taxes and higher costs and vote no on Clyde Shavers by August 4th.
It’s time for leaders who will put North Sound families first. It’s time for a change.
